We want to build an effective and vibrant parliament: Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni

After a meeting with the Prime Minister, Chief Whip of the National Assembly Nurul Islam Moni said that the government is determined to build an effective and vibrant parliament. He said that all kinds of problems will be resolved through discussion and exchange of views in the parliament.

The Chief Whip said that constructive cooperation of the opposition party is very important to make the parliament effective. He expressed hope that the opposition party will also play a positive role in the activities of the parliament and everyone will work together to improve the quality of life of the people.

He also said that the activities of the parliament will begin tomorrow with the oath-taking. Initially, a member nominated by the Prime Minister will temporarily preside. After that, the session of the parliament will officially begin and the process of electing the speaker and deputy speaker will be completed.

The Chief Whip said that no proposal has been received from the opposition party for the post of deputy speaker so far.
