Private airline US-Bangla Airlines has announced plans to add 21 new Boeing aircraft to its fleet by 2027. At the same time, initiatives have been taken to operate regular flights to several new international destinations including Kuwait, Bahrain, Medina, Dammam, Kathmandu, Colombo, Hong Kong and Johor Bahru and Penang in Malaysia.
The company’s Managing Director Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun announced this plan at a press conference organized on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of US-Bangla Airlines at a hotel in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday (July 19, 2026) evening.
He said that US-Bangla Airlines started its journey by operating domestic flights on the Jessore route in 2014. Currently, the company has 25 aircraft in its fleet. These aircraft are operating regular flights to six domestic destinations in the country and 14 international destinations in 10 countries. The company operates about 100 flights daily on domestic and international routes.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun further said that US-Bangla has achieved recognition as the first private airline in Bangladesh by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and IOSA due to its utmost importance to safety, service quality, operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction.
He said that as the first private airline in the country after independence, US-Bangla is operating direct flights to a destination in China, Chennai in India and Male, the capital of Maldives.
He also said at the press conference that the promise made to deliver the luggage of passengers on international flights within 15 minutes of landing is being successfully implemented. In the future, US-Bangla Airlines will continue to work towards further advancing the private aviation sector of Bangladesh in the international arena through a modern fleet, new destinations and improved services.
