UN Secretary-General expresses solidarity with Bangladesh’s reform and transformation process

Visiting UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed solidarity with Bangladesh’s reform and transformation process.

He expressed this opinion in a meeting with Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Towhid Hossain at the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital on Friday (March 14, 2025) morning.

A UN message after the meeting said that the organization’s Secretary-General and Foreign Affairs Advisor discussed the ongoing transformation and reform process in Bangladesh. The Secretary-General expressed solidarity with Bangladesh’s reform and transformation process.

Antonio Guterres expressed gratitude for the close cooperation between the UN and Bangladesh and Bangladesh’s generosity towards Rohingya refugees.

The Secretary-General also thanked Bangladesh for its strong commitment to UN peacekeeping.
