UK Ambassador pays courtesy call on Honorable Minister and State Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism

On Tuesday (March 24, 2026) at 2:00 PM, Sarah Cooke, UK Ambassador to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on her at the conference room of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Afroza Khanam (Rita), MP, and State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat were present at the meeting.

The meeting emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the UK. In addition, the UK’s cooperation in the development of the country’s civil aviation sector was sought. At this time, the Ambassador assured of continuing maximum cooperation with the current government.

In addition, the Ambassador expressed the UK’s interest in the ground handling activities of the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. He also assured the UK’s support in developing Bangladesh as a regional aviation hub.
