UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
In a condolence message, they expressed their deep condolences over the death of Begum Khaleda Zia and said that the government and people of the UAE stand with the people of Bangladesh in this tragic loss. They prayed to Allah Almighty to forgive the departed soul and grant patience and solace to her family, relatives and well-wishers. At the same time, they prayed for the deceased to be granted Jannatul Firdous.
In addition, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court of the United Arab Emirates, expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia.
Meanwhile, in a separate condolence message, the United Arab Emirates officially conveyed its condolences to the Honorable President of Bangladesh, Mohammad Shahabuddin. The condolence message expressed the UAE’s deep sympathy and condolences to the government and people of Bangladesh on the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia.
