Turkish Ambassador pays courtesy call on Trade Advisor

Turkish Ambassador to Dhaka Ramis Sen paid a courtesy call on Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin.

The courtesy call was held at the Trade Advisor’s office in the Secretariat on Tuesday (24 December 2024) afternoon. During the meeting, they discussed in detail the bilateral trade prospects of the two countries and the possible visit of the Turkish Trade Minister to Bangladesh in January.

The Trade Advisor said that the trade relations between Bangladesh and Turkey are quite deep. Increasing economic engagement and developing trade relations between businessmen of the two countries will bring benefits to both countries.

Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Ramis Sen said that the upcoming visit of the Turkish Trade Minister to Bangladesh will mainly be an example of Turkey’s solidarity with the interim government and the people of Bangladesh. In addition, this visit will be a strong step to explore the trade prospects of the two countries. At this time, the Turkish Ambassador informed the Trade Advisor about the details of the visit of the Turkish Minister of Commerce to Bangladesh.

Additional Secretary (FTA) of the Ministry of Commerce Ayesha Akhter was present at the time.
