Transparency and accountability are more important in the banking sector: Salehuddin Ahmed

He said this at the ’24th ICAB National Award’ ceremony organized by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) at Hotel Sonagaon in the capital on Tuesday (September 10) night.

In the speech of the chief guest, Salehuddin Ahmed said that there is all the discrimination among people. We will try to overcome it. Let us know our mistakes. We want help.

Financial adviser on the banking sector said, transparency and accountability are the most important at this time. If you don’t keep money accounts properly, you will be caught sooner or later. So be careful from here.

We can now see the condition of those who did not care about anything in the past. We are looking at the reports of almost all the banks, the real picture does not emerge there. Therefore, advisor Salehuddin mentioned that proper inspection is necessary for the suppression of evil and the observance of creation.

In the event, 22 organizations from 13 sectors, including banks, insurance and manufacturing, received awards for the best annual report, integrated report and corporate governance. The winning institutions are awarded in three categories namely Gold, Silver and Bronze. Later, the chief guest handed over the crests and certificates to the officials of the award-winning institutions.

Finance Secretary was present at the event. Khairuzzaman Majumdar, Commerce Secretary Mohang Salim Uddin and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR). Abdur Rahman Khan, ICAB President Mohammad Forkan Uddin and others.
