To introduce the next generation to traditional Bangladeshi pitha, a vibrant pitha festival was organized at Baridhara Society. With the arrival of winter, Bengalis indulge in the joy of pitha celebrations. For thousands of years, pitha has been an integral part of Bengali festivals and culture. To preserve this rich tradition, Baridhara Society arranged the festival once again this year.

The festival took place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in the Baridhara area, sponsored by Dhaka Bank. The event was held from 7 PM to 10 PM. According to the organizers, this annual event aims to uphold the country’s cultural heritage and has received an overwhelming response from the local community.

Distinguished guests at the festival included Baridhara Society’s Executive Committee President Md. Shakil Arif Tabani, Vice Presidents Mrs. Sharmin Sultana, Mrs. Shaila Banu, and Mr. Tariq Mahmood, Secretary General ATM Matin, Joint Secretary General Shahriar Ibne Zaman, Treasurer Md. Shahin Iqbal, and Executive Committee Member Md. Nurul Islam Molla Ronok, among others.


Additionally, the Managing Director of Dhaka Bank, Sheikh Mohammad Maruf, attended the event. Chief Justice of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, Syed Refaat Ahmed, also visited the festival.
The festival featured a wide variety of traditional pithas, generating great enthusiasm among visitors. Guests warmly welcomed such cultural initiatives and encouraged organizing them on a larger scale in the future.
