Necessary steps have been taken to make Eid journey safe and smooth for the common people, said Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.).

The advisor said that no vehicle without fitness will be allowed to ply during the Eid journey and necessary measures have been taken to prevent robberies. He said that many times it is seen that the owners of unfit vehicles take them off the road after painting them. No vehicle without fitness will be allowed to ply on the road under any condition after painting them. He also said that to avoid robberies and unwanted incidents during the Eid journey, photographs of all passengers should be taken from every stop where passengers are picked up in transport. Many robbers sometimes board buses disguised as passengers. To avoid this problem, photographs of passengers will be taken in all long-distance transport. Photographs of everyone who boards the bus from the first stop to the last stop will have to be taken. The advisor said that there are three staff in each bus. If there is a possibility of any untoward incident, they will immediately contact the owner and law enforcement agencies.
