The DMP Commissioner said, “As you know, this year too, Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day are going to be celebrated tomorrow, i.e. tonight, from 12:01 am. The entire nation will celebrate this day with utmost respect.” Like every year, this time too, VVIPs, VIPs and then the public will pay their respects first. The Palashi Gate of Dhaka University will be opened for the public at approximately 12:40 am. I request everyone to observe proper discipline while placing wreaths at the altar.

He said, the general public gathers a lot in the Shahid Minar premises and there is a lot of crowd while entering the Shahid Minar. We will be vigilant so that no accident occurs in this crowd. A sufficient number of officers and forces of Dhaka Metropolitan Police will be deployed from 5 pm today to 3 pm tomorrow. We do not see any security threat on the occasion of the Ekushey February celebration. The security measures taken by the DMP include metal detectors, installation of archways and general body searches. We will have necessary measures to ensure that no one can enter with flammable materials, explosives or anything like that.

The DMP Commissioner said, you know that a large number of people gather on this day, so everyone has to be patient. Along with this, our various mobile teams will be deployed within a radius of one kilometer around the Shahid Minar.
