The Harnet Foundation inaugurated the largest art data center in Bangladesh

A historic milestone was set in Bangladesh’s art scene with the launch of the country’s largest Art Data Center by Harnet Fine Arts, an initiative led by the Harnet Foundation. This achievement was celebrated through a special event titled “Art Dialogue,” aimed at preserving and promoting Bangladesh’s rich artistic and cultural heritage on the global stage. The event was supported by Al Majlis Arabian Restaurant and the Yemeni Art Organization, founded by Abdul Aziz Aishan and Ahmed Alsakkaf.

During this special event, the official inauguration of the Art Data Center took place. This digital archive is expected to play a pivotal role in preserving Bangladesh’s diverse artistic heritage and promoting it worldwide.

In her inaugural speech, Harnet Foundation’s founder, Alisha Pradhan, stated, “This initiative will help showcase the works of legendary Bangladeshi artists on the global stage and aid our artists in gaining international recognition.” The event was chaired by the Harnet Foundation’s Chairman, Md. Monir Pradhan.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Abdulmutalib S.M. Suleiman, Ambassador of Libya; Abul Hossain, Consul of Uganda in Bangladesh; Ann Mary George, Secretary of the Indian High Commission; Michel Sumsar, Country Director of KfW; and Talat Shahanshah, Police Commissioner.

Renowned artists who participated in the event included Abdul Mannan, Mohammad Yunus, Biren Som, Ranjit Das, Tarun Ghosh, Farida Zaman, G.M. Khalilur Rahman, Rokeya Sultana, Naima Haque, Nasim A. Nadvi, Mohammad Iqbal, Samar Majumder, Muniruzzaman, Zahir Uddin, Sunil Kumar, Rezaun Nabi, Rashed Huda, Bishwajit Goswami, Dilruba Latif, Sohana Shahreen, Suborna Shamim, Sourav Chowdhury, Shyamal Sarkar, Sanjit Das Apu, Lita Yunus, Monideepa Das, E. Dhali Tomal, Sultan Ishtiaq, Grandmaster Yuri, Tejosh H. Josh, and many more.

The highlight of the evening was the inauguration of the Art Data Center. This was followed by a networking dinner, where guests exchanged ideas and discussed future artistic collaborations. Attendees also enjoyed authentic Yemeni cuisine, served during the official launch of the Al Majlis Yemeni Restaurant.

The evening concluded with a mesmerizing musical performance by renowned singer Hossain Arif.
