SME Foundation’s ‘Multipurpose Leather Product Making’ training begins in Hazaribagh

SME Foundation has been conducting various activities for a long time with the aim of creating skilled manpower in the leather industry, diversifying leather products and creating new entrepreneurs. In continuation of this, a special training program on ‘Multipurpose Leather Product Making’ has been started in Hazaribagh, the capital, from June 30 to July 23, 2025, at the initiative of the foundation.

The training is providing hands-on education to the participants about the basic concept and classification of leather, introduction and use of parts and tools used in the leather industry, pattern making methods, source of raw materials and product quality. Under the training, various leather product making techniques including bags, belts, wallets, key rings, ladies’ bags, shoes, sandals, leather jackets, prayer mats, office and laptop bags are being taught.

In addition, the participants are gaining a complete idea of ​​business management, marketing and branding, product quality and packaging, pricing and exchange of views with successful entrepreneurs.

SME Foundation Deputy General Manager Mr. Md. Rakib Uddin Khan and Assistant General Manager Mr. Md. Abbas Ali were present at the inaugural ceremony of the training.
