State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam said that the Bangladesh government is giving top priority to creating employment for youth and women. He also mentioned the special importance that Dhaka attaches to sending skilled manpower to Malaysia.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysian High Commissioner Mohammad Shuhada Osman paid a courtesy call on the State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Tuesday (March 10, 2026).
During the meeting, the Malaysian High Commissioner congratulated the State Minister on assuming office and extended greetings and congratulations to the newly elected Bangladesh government led by Tarique Rahman on behalf of the Malaysian government.
He expressed hope that Bangladesh-Malaysia relations will further strengthen under the new leadership. He also said that the Malaysian government is planning to extend a formal invitation to the Bangladesh Prime Minister to visit Malaysia.
