Prime Minister Tarique Rahman receives courtesy call from Chief of Naval Staff and Chief of Air Staff

Desk Report:

Chief of the Bangladesh Navy Admiral M Nazmul Hasan and Chief of the Bangladesh Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The courtesy calls were held separately at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon in the capital on Saturday (21 February 2026). During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and discussed the professional activities of the armed forces and the overall security situation.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the professionalism, patriotism and relentless efforts of the Bangladesh Navy in securing the maritime borders. She said that the Navy is playing an important role in protecting the country’s maritime resources and realizing the potential of the Blue Economy.

Similarly, she unreservedly praised the professionalism, discipline, patriotism and relentless contribution of the Bangladesh Air Force in securing the airspace. The Prime Minister called for maintaining maximum preparedness and capability to protect the country’s sovereignty in the future as well.
