Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all Muslims around the world, including the countrymen, on the occasion of holy Laylatul Qadr.
In a greeting message, the Prime Minister said, Laylatul Qadr is a glorious and blessed night. The Holy Quran was revealed on this glorious night of the month of Ramadan and Almighty Allah has declared this night to be better than a thousand months. This night brings a message of goodness, forgiveness and mercy for mankind.
He said, this night creates a unique opportunity to gain closeness to Almighty Allah through worship, repentance and supplication. The month of Ramadan is a month of restraint, self-purification, tolerance and awakening of human qualities. The teachings of the holy Laylatul Qadr inspire the establishment of peace, justice and welfare in the life of individuals, society and the state.
The Prime Minister also said that by understanding the significance of Laylatul Qadr, everyone should devote themselves to human welfare along with performing more worship to attain the pleasure of Allah Almighty.
He prayed to Allah Almighty that the infinite mercy and blessings of the holy Laylatul Qadr be showered upon everyone and that the country and nation move forward on the path of progress, peace, harmony and welfare.
The Prime Minister expressed the hope that the glory of the holy Laylatul Qadr will bring peace, harmony and welfare to the lives of the people of the country.
