Home Minister to visit Vienna to participate in Global Fraud Summit

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed is visiting Vienna to participate in the two-day (March 16-17, 2026) Global Fraud Summit 2026 to be held in Vienna, the capital of Austria, jointly organized by UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) and INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization).

The Minister is leading a 5-member Bangladesh delegation to the summit to be held at the Vienna International Conference Center.

Along with the inaugural and plenary sessions of the summit, the Minister will participate as a panelist in the high-level roundtable meeting titled ‘Global Fraud Response Mechanism’ and the high-level special session titled ‘National Commitments/Pledges on Combating Fraud’.

In addition, the Minister will hold bilateral meetings with UNODC Executive Director John Brandolino and UK Home Secretary Rt Hon Lord Hanson as part of the sideline event.

It is to be noted that the Minister will depart from Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport in Dhaka to attend the summit on 15 March 2026 at 04:50 PM on Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 679. After the summit, he will return to Dhaka on Turkish Airlines flight TK 712 at 05:35 AM on 20 March 2026.
