Newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has begun his first official activity at Bangabhaban after taking oath.
When the President arrived at Bangabhaban at 11 am on Sunday (August 23, 2026), a well-equipped cavalry team of Bangladesh Police welcomed him at Main Gate-2.
Later, a well-equipped and smart team of the President’s Guard Regiment (PGR) of the Bangladesh Army provided a guard of honor to the President at the credential ground of Bangabhaban.
After the guard of honor, the President and his family members were welcomed with flowers at the octagon of Bangabhaban by the President’s Military Secretary Major General ASM Bahauddin, Public Affairs Secretary AJM Salahuddin Nagri, Press Secretary Md. Sarwar Alam and PGR Commander Brigadier General Golam Arikul Alam.
On the first day of the commencement of official activities at Bangabhaban, President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir signed various official documents in his office.
Later, he signed the visit book of Bangabhaban.
