Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf arrived in Bangladesh on a three-day official visit. As part of the visit, he paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hasan at the Naval Headquarters in Banani on Sunday (09-11-2025). Earlier, when he arrived at the Naval Headquarters, the Navy Chief welcomed him. At that time, a well-equipped contingent of the Bangladesh Navy presented him with a guard of honor. He inspected the guard and received the greetings.
During the meeting, the Navy Chiefs of both countries exchanged greetings. During this time, professional and training-related issues between the navies of the two countries were discussed. In addition, he expressed hope for continuing mutual cooperation to further strengthen the existing relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan. At that time, the Pakistan Navy delegation, Pakistan High Commissioner, Defense Attaché and PSOs of the Naval Headquarters and high-ranking military officers were present. Earlier, the Pakistan Navy Chief paid tribute to the memory of the armed forces members who sacrificed their lives in the great war of independence of 1971 by placing a wreath at the Shikha Anirban. On the same day, he paid a courtesy call on the Army Chief. During his visit to Bangladesh, the Pakistan Navy Chief will pay a courtesy call on the Air Chief, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, the Commandant National Defense College and the naval administrative authorities of Chittagong.
At the same time, the Pakistan Navy ship ‘PNS SAIF’ arrived in Chittagong on a goodwill visit. The ship’s captain and other officers and naval personnel will visit the Bangladesh Naval Academy in Chittagong, the naval base and various tourist attractions in Chittagong. Members of the Bangladesh Navy will also visit the Pakistan Navy ship ‘PNS SAIF’. This will give the naval personnel of both the countries an opportunity to exchange professional skills and experience. It is noted that after the visit, the Pakistan Navy Chief and the Pakistan Navy ship will leave Bangladesh on November 12, 2025.
