Pakistan Charge d’Affaires pays courtesy call on BGMEA President

Muhammad Wasif, Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires, paid a courtesy visit to Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu, President of BGMEA. They were joined by Trade & Investment Attaché. Zain Aziz, along with BGMEA Vice President Md. Rezuan Selim, Directors Faisal Samad, Sumaiya Islam, and Fahima Akhter.

During the meeting, both sides discussed expanding bilateral trade and investment in the garments and textile sectors, exploring opportunities in textile waste recycling and jute fiber imports. President Mahmud Hasan emphasized Bangladesh’s potential in jute and recycled textiles to support Pakistan’s growing industry.

They also agreed on collaborating through trade exhibitions, workshops, and business delegation exchanges.

They also had discussion on implementation of the MoU signed between BGMEA and the Pakistan Ready-Made Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA), including active participation from business communities.
