‘Oktoberfest 2026’ was held in Dhaka with the aim of celebrating German culture and further strengthening commercial ties between Bangladesh and Germany. The event was jointly organized by the German Embassy and the Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) on Saturday (October 10, 2026) at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Hotel.
The event was attended by the German Ambassador to Bangladesh, Rüdiger Lotz, along with other invited guests. Inspired by the Bavarian traditions and culture of Germany, the evening featured a ceremonial first pour and an exchange of greetings, Oktoberfest-themed cultural performances by a team from the Goethe-Institut, and live music.
