New Pakistani High Commissioner to Bangladesh Presents Credentials to President

The High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, presented his credentials to the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mohammad Shahabuddin, in a cordial ceremony held at the President’s Office, Bangabhaban, on Tuesday (August 19, 2025).

During the meeting, the High Commissioner conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President and the people of Bangladesh on behalf of the leaders and people of Pakistan. He said that the relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh are deeply rooted in common history, common faith and cultural ties and emphasized that Pakistan is keen to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Welcoming the High Commissioner, the President congratulated him on his appointment and assured him of full support in the discharge of his diplomatic duties. He wished the High Commissioner success in discharging his duties in Bangladesh.
