New Bangladesh begins with signing of July National Charter: Chief Adviser

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus said, New Bangladesh has begun with the signing of the July National Charter, which will take the nation forward on the path of rule of law, justice and prosperity and will end the atrocities of the last 16 years.

He said, “Today is our new birth day. Through this signing, we are establishing a new Bangladesh.”

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the historic July National Charter 2025 signing ceremony at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Friday (October 17, 2025) afternoon.

The Chief Adviser expressed the hope that everyone will forget all differences and unite to implement the charter properly and this change will take the country forward. He said, this change has been possible as a result of the July mass uprising led by the students.

Professor Yunus said, “We need to bring about changes in our national life. We also need to bring about changes in our constitution and the way we run our government.”

He said that the youth who have dedicated their lives for this change will build a new country. “The youth will show us the way,” he said, adding, “The country belongs to the youth. Half of the 180 million population is below the age of 27.”

The chief Adviser said that the July National Charter has set an example not only for Bangladesh but also for the entire world.

He said, “Many countries will come to us to know how we made the signing of the July Charter possible by involving the entire nation.”

At the event, National Consensus Commission Chairman and Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, members of the commission and leaders of various political parties signed the charter together.
