National Citizen Party holds meeting with EU ambassadors

The National Citizen Party (NCP) held a meeting with ambassadors of eight EU countries. The meeting was held at the residence of Michael Miller, Ambassador of the European Union and Head of the EU Delegation to Bangladesh, in Dhaka on Tuesday (April 15, 2025).

The meeting was attended by party convener Nahid Islam and Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr. Tasneem Zara on behalf of the National Citizen Party.

In addition to the EU representatives, the ambassadors and representatives of Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and Norway were present at the meeting.

The meeting discussed in detail the current political situation, democracy, good governance and human rights situation in Bangladesh. Along with this, the party leaders also highlighted the background against which the National Citizen Party (NCP) has emerged.

At this time, the NCP highlighted the proposed political and constitutional reforms to bring positive changes in the country’s politics and its commitment to establishing the rule of law and justice.
