Must ensure security after performing Fajr prayers at polling stations: Asif Mahmud

Staff Correspondent:

Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Election Steering Committee of the National Citizens Party (NCP), said that in this election, we must ensure security after performing Fajr prayers at polling stations. It is not enough to vote ourselves, but we must ensure the security of the common people, especially our mothers and sisters, when they vote. If you work hard for one day, you will be able to live safely and peacefully for the next five years.

He said these things as the chief guest at the NCP election rally organized in support of Panchagarh-1 constituency candidate Sarjis Alam at Satmero High School ground in Goaljhara Bazar, Satmero Union, Panchagarh Sadar Upazila on Monday (February 2, 2026).

NCP Election Steering Committee Chairman Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan said, Bangladesh needs a number one candidate for the number one seat. It is true that you have become an MP and minister from this seat, but you have not done anything for the children of this area. Who worked for the development of the tourism industry and roads in your area without becoming an MP. Now if you make Sarjis Alam an MP, he will work with more responsibility.

We have seen for the last 54 years that the son of a ward commissioner has become a commissioner, the son of a chairman has become a chairman, the son of an MP-minister has become an MP minister. We want your son to also become a chairman, commissioner, MP and minister one day. If you vote in Shapla Kali, you will not have to do business with anyone in this Panchagarh district. No one will have to die due to lack of medical treatment. We want to build a Bangladesh of justice.
