Mohammad Zahidul Hasan take charge as KMP Commissioner

Mr. Mohammad Zahidul Hasan, BPM-Service, has assumed charge as the new Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) in a simple and cordial atmosphere.

He formally assumed charge from the outgoing Police Commissioner Mr. Md. Zulfiqar Ali Haider at a ceremony organized at the Khulna Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Sunday (14 December 2025 AD), 29 Agrahayan 1432 Bangabhab at 1:05 PM.

On the occasion of assuming charge, the new Police Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Hasan presented floral greetings and honors to the outgoing Commissioner. After that, all the formal activities related to the transfer and acceptance of responsibility were completed as per the customary practice.

While taking charge, Police Commissioner Mohammad Jahidul Hasan, BPM-Services said that his main goal will be to ensure the overall security of Khulna metropolis, maintain and improve the law and order situation, suppress crime and build a safe and livable city through people-friendly policing.
He further said that he seeks the overall cooperation of the city’s respected civil society, public representatives, media workers, various departments of the administration and people from all walks of life in successfully fulfilling this responsibility. He expressed optimism that it will be possible to turn Khulna into a peaceful, safe and crime-free city through joint efforts.

At that time, KMP’s Additional Police Commissioner (Admin and Finance) Mr. Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Ops) Mr. Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan BPM-Service, PPM (Bar), Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic and Protocol) Mr. Muhammad Shahnewaz Khaled, PPM-Service, as well as Deputy Police Commissioners, Additional Deputy Police Commissioners and Assistant Police Commissioners were present.
