Syed Mukhtar Al-Bukhari, Chairman of Malaysian port management company MMC Ports, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The courtesy call was held at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (June 22, 2026) at 2:20 PM local time, Malaysia.
During the meeting, issues of expanding trade and investment between Bangladesh and Malaysia were discussed. In particular, MMC Ports expressed interest and proposals regarding the establishment of manufacturing industries and increasing long-term investment in Bangladesh.
