Maldives High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Shiunin Rashid, has expressed deep sorrow and condolences on the death of former Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
He signed the condolence book opened at the Qatar Embassy in Dhaka. At the time, he expressed his deep condolences to the royal family, government and people of Qatar.
In his condolence message, the High Commissioner paid tribute to the leadership and contributions of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and said that his role in strengthening Qatar’s development and position in the international arena will be remembered.
He also respectfully recalled the former Emir’s continued contributions in strengthening the close friendly relations existing between the Maldives and Qatar.
