Malaysian Ambassador pays courtesy call on Army Chief

Malaysian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mohd Shuhada Othman paid a courtesy call on the Army Chief at the Army Headquarters on Sunday (14 September 2025).

During the meeting, besides exchanging greetings, they discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in the military sector between the two countries. The Ambassador stressed the need for an immediate resolution to the crisis of Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMN) in Cox’s Bazar and noted that nearly two lakh Rohingya have also taken shelter in Malaysia.

Finally, they exchanged views on the Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Army Staff Conference (IPACC) 2025 to be held in Kuala Lumpur from 23-26 September 2025.
