The Local Government Advisor said, ‘Only those who are allies of the defeated forces and fascism can stand against the referendum. Only those who are allies of fascism and opponents of the masses can think differently. Fascism can never be allowed to return. Therefore, there is no alternative to ‘yes’ in the referendum.’

Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan visited the grave of martyr Md. Abu Sayeed in Pirganj Upazila of Rangpur on Friday (January 23, 2026) afternoon and spoke to the martyr’s family members.
The Industry and Local Government Advisor exchanged views with Rangpur district-level officials on the occasion of the referendum campaign at the conference room of the Rangpur Deputy Commissioner today (Friday).

The meeting, chaired by Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Enamul Ahsan, was also attended by Housing and Public Works Ministry Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam; Local Government Department Secretary Md. Rezaul Maksud Zahedi; Rural Development and Cooperatives Department Secretary Md. Shawkat Rashid Chowdhury; Rangpur Police Commissioner Md. Majid Ali; Police Superintendent Md. Marufat Hussain and other officials at various levels of the district.
On the same day, the advisor inspected various development projects implemented by the Ministry of Local Government in Rangpur district.
