KMP Commissioner lays foundation stone of new building of Luanchara Police Station

The foundation stone of the new building of Luanchara Police Station has been laid with the aim of maintaining law and order and making police services more modern and effective in Khulna metropolis.

On Tuesday (March 17, 2026) at 11 am, the Honorable Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), Mohammad Zahidul Hasan, BPM-Service, laid the foundation stone of the proposed new building on the south side of the existing Luanchara Police Station in Kholabaria Mouza, Khulna.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event, the Police Commissioner said that it will be possible to provide better and faster police services to the people through the construction of a modern, sustainable and quality police station building. He provided necessary guidelines to the concerned to ensure the highest quality of construction work.

He further expressed the hope that once the new building is constructed, the law and order activities in the Luanchara Police Station area will be more dynamic and people-friendly.

KMP’s Additional Police Commissioner (Admin and Finance) and recently promoted to the post of DIG Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Ops) Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan, BPM-Seba, PPM (Bar) and other senior police officers of KMP were also present at the event.
