The Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated ‘July Uprising Day 2026’ with due dignity at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Wednesday (August 5).
The memorial ceremony organized on this occasion was presided over by Honorable Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman. In his speech, he paid deep tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the mass uprising that took place in July-August 2024. At the same time, he shed light on the historical importance and lasting significance of this day in the national journey of Bangladesh.




At the beginning of the ceremony, Ambassador Mohammad Abdul Muhith, Rector of the Foreign Service Academy, delivered a welcome speech. Then, Secretary (East-West) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam delivered a speech.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials and employees and officers in training of the Foreign Service Academy were present at the ceremony.
The memorial ceremony commemorates the sacrifices of the July Uprising, the democratic spirit, and renewed commitment to national progress.
