Johan Buse appointed as new CEO of Banglalink

Johan Buse has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of mobile operator Banglalink. He will officially take charge from April 6, 2025.

Johan Buse is currently working as the Head of Consumer Business Group at Singaporean telecom company Starhub, where he led strategic planning and business transformation. He has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo in Oman.

He has also held top positions in organizations such as Deutsche Telekom Croatia, Axis and Singtel.

He will succeed Erik Aas, who has been leading Banglalink for nine years. As the current CEO of Banglalink, Erik Aas has played a key role in increasing competition in the telecom market, developing networks and expanding digital services.
