Japanese Ambassador pays courtesy call on Shipping and Labor Advisor

Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh SAIDA Shinichi paid a courtesy call on Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Shipping and Labor and Employment, Retired Brigadier General Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain.

During the meeting, Ambassador Saida reiterated Japan’s continued commitment to the development of Matarbari Deep Sea Port. Advisor Dr. Sakhawat Hossain expressed his gratitude and said that Matarbari Port is very important for the future development of Bangladesh. During this time, they also discussed the Maheshkhali-Matarbari Integrated Infrastructure Development Initiative (MIDI) Master Plan.

Both sides also exchanged views on labor and employment related issues and highlighted the importance of working closely to further strengthen bilateral relations.
