Japanese Ambassador optimistic about increasing Japanese investment in Bangladesh Ambassador’s

Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Saida Shinichi paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Advisor Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir.

During the meeting, Ambassador Saida Shinichi sincerely congratulated Dr. Titumir on assuming the new responsibility. She mentioned that Japan has been working as an important development partner of Bangladesh for a long time and the two countries have maintained strong bilateral relations under the tenure of various governments.

The Ambassador further said that Japanese investment in Bangladesh is increasing continuously. He expressed optimism that the recently signed Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) will further accelerate this positive trend.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the prospects for increasing investment in Bangladesh and various ways to advance ongoing development projects.
