A grand reception was given to the Nayebe Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of parliament Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, who is in the United States with his chief advisor to participate in the United Nations General Assembly.
Thousands of Bangladeshi American expatriates attended the reception organized by the Coalition of Bangladesh American Associations (COBA). The expatriates greeted Dr. Taher and exchanged their experiences and views with the Bangladeshi community.
