Jamaat-e-Islami Women’s Delegation Meets EU Deputy Chief in Dhaka

A six-member delegation of the Women’s Division of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, led by Division Secretary Principal Nurunnisa Siddika, paid a courtesy call on Ms. Baiba Zarina, Deputy Chief of the European Union Delegation in Bangladesh, at the EU office in Dhaka this morning at 10:00 a.m.

The delegation included Professor Dr. Habiba Akter Chowdhury, Central Working Council Member and Political Secretary; Advocate Sabikun Nahar Munni, Central Working Council Member and Secretary for Human Resources, Law and Human Rights; Ayesha Siddika Parvin, Central Working Council Member and Secretary of Dhaka South City; Sufia Jamal, Central Working Council Member and Secretary of Dhaka North City; and Assistant Professor Laila Marium, Member of the Advisory Council of Dhaka South City.

During the meeting, the two sides held an open discussion on Bangladesh’s current political situation, women’s participation in politics, protection of women’s rights, enhancement of professional skills, and the positive role of women in the overall development of the country.
