The Deputy Head of Mission of the Italian Embassy in Dhaka paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan. The meeting discussed new opportunities for cooperation between the two sides.
The Italian government is currently contributing to the Italian language course at the Institute of Modern Languages, Dhaka University. The meeting discussed the possibility of expanding academic opportunities between the Italian Embassy and Dhaka University, expanding Italian language education, and assisting in the recruitment of local Italian language teachers.
