Iranian Ambassador meets Trade Advisor

Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mansur Chavoshi paid a courtesy call on Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin.

The meeting was held today, Sunday (March 16, 2025) in the Trade Advisor’s office room at the Secretariat.

During the meeting, they discussed in detail the development of bilateral relations and the increase in trade and investment.

The Trade Advisor said that Iran’s trade volume with Bangladesh is smaller than its capacity. Both countries have great export potential. Stating that the development of trade relations will benefit both countries, the Trade Advisor called on Iran to increase investment in the agricultural farming sector in Bangladesh.

Iranian Ambassador Mansur Chavoshi said that Iran is a good friend of Bangladesh. Although the similarities in culture, religion and language bind the people of the two countries together, commercial relations have not found a solid foundation for a long time. Now Iran is interested in further strengthening trade relations with Bangladesh.

Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Mahbubur Rahman, Vice Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau Md. Anwar Hossain and Secretary for Economic Affairs of the Iranian Embassy Mahmud Khoshravi were present at the time.
