Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) has organized a five-day ‘BSCIC Barsha Mela-2026’ to combine the softness of the monsoon, the traditions of Bengal and the diversity of domestic small and cottage industries.
Industries Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir inaugurated the fair at Tejgaon BSCIC Bhaban in Dhaka on Sunday (July 5, 2026).
Among others, Secretary to the Ministry of Industries Abdun Naser Khan, Chairman of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation Md. Saiful Islam and senior officials were present at the time. Later, the minister inspected various stalls and products of the fair.
The fair has 56 stalls in various categories including handicrafts, leather goods, Jamdani, Shatranji, Manipuri sarees, textile products, Nakshi Kantha, jute products, bamboo and rattan products, honey and food products.
The fair will be open to everyone from 10 am to 8 pm every day from July 5 to July 9 at the ground floor of BSCIC Bhaban, Tejgaon Industrial Area, 398, Dhaka.
Small, cottage and handicraft entrepreneurs from different regions of the country will display and sell their aesthetic and quality traditional products at the fair. The fair is organized with the aim of encouraging local heritage, creativity and the efforts of entrepreneurs.
