Indian Lok Sabha Speaker meets newly elected Prime Minister

After attending the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Indian Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

He handed over the congratulatory message sent by the Indian Prime Minister and reiterated India’s commitment to further expand bilateral relations. The discussions focused on trade, connectivity, energy, border cooperation and people-to-people contacts.
