ICCB Abuzz with Exhibitions on Automobiles, Agricultural Technology, and Maritime Industry

Desk Report:

Three separate exhibitions are currently underway at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. Covering sectors ranging from the sale of new and used vehicles to agricultural and food processing, as well as modern technologies for shipbuilding and the maritime industry, these events have created a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. The venue is teeming with business professionals, entrepreneurs, buyers, and students. Through these exhibitions, participants are not only gaining insights into various products and technologies but are also exploring business networking opportunities, new partnerships, and potential investments.

The ‘Super Sale Car Bazaar,’ held every Friday at the ICCB, entered its sixth week yesterday. There was a significant turnout of buyers looking to explore a wide range of new, reconditioned, and used vehicles, while also comparing prices and features.

Organized jointly by Wizard Showbiz and the ICCB, this market operates exclusively on Fridays, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Upon entering the venue, visitors are greeted by rows of vehicles—a mix of new models, reconditioned cars, and pre-owned vehicles for personal use.

Buyers at the market were seen inquiring about vehicle models, pricing, and specifications, while others were busy comparing the features of different cars. Sellers, in turn, offered various incentives to attract potential buyers. Notably, the display included electric vehicles (EVs) from both Japanese and Chinese brands.

Mehedi Hasan Molla, Brand and Marketing Manager at the ICCB, noted that they have received a positive response over the past few weeks. Yesterday, approximately 350 vehicles were brought to the market. He added that both buyer and seller participation—as well as overall interest—were higher this week compared to previous weeks.

Meanwhile, the ‘Farm to Food Bangladesh 2026’ exhibition is showcasing modern technologies across the entire spectrum of agricultural production, food processing, and preservation. Yesterday marked the second day of a three-day event held at the Gulnaksha and Navaratri halls of the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). Throughout the day, a steady stream of visitors was seen exploring the various stalls.

The exhibition showcases a wide range of products and solutions, including machinery for the agriculture and food industries, food processing technology, packaging equipment, processing machinery for meat and dairy products, animal feed, fertilizers, agricultural inputs, and modern food preservation systems. Teachers and students from various agricultural universities were also seen visiting the stalls to learn about the technologies and machinery on display.

According to the organizers, the primary objectives of the exhibition include promoting the use of modern technology in the agriculture and food sectors, ensuring the production of safe food, advancing the processing and packaging industries, and expanding cold chain infrastructure. Furthermore, the event serves as a platform for technology exchange, business networking, and the formation of new partnerships between domestic and international organizations.

Participating entities include Arn Premium Additives, Trad Global Limited, Hunan Nagyu Machinery Group Co., Ltd., Xiang Shengkun Kitchenware Co., Ltd., Jiang Jiulin Technology Co., Ltd., ACI Animal Health, ACI Fertilizer, ACI Agribusiness, Mewa Tech Solutions, Foodtech Bangladesh, Fishtech BD Limited, and Thermo Care Engineering Limited, among others.

Meanwhile, professionals, business owners, and visitors from the maritime sector have been gathering at the ICCB to explore technologies related to shipbuilding, repair, and the broader maritime industry. The ‘8th BIMEX 2026’—an international exhibition for the maritime and offshore industries—is currently underway at the Pushpaguchha and Navaratri halls. Yesterday was the second day of this three-day event, with today, Saturday, marking the final day of the exhibition.

Organized by Savor International Limited, the exhibition features over 200 organizations from seven countries, including Bangladesh and the Netherlands. Various stalls are showcasing shipbuilding and repair machinery, navigation and communication systems, marine engineering equipment, and modern technologies for the offshore industry.

According to the organizers, the participation of both domestic and international organizations has created an opportunity to learn about new technologies and equipment in the maritime sector. At the same time, it is fostering business connections, the exchange of technical expertise, and paving the way for future collaboration among the participating entities.

Participating organizations include Ocean Electronic Limited, Golden Maritime Technology, TSI Maritime, Sri Bangla Bold Builders, Offshore & Marine Engineer Limited, Khulna Shipyard Limited, Group Nautica, ACI Marine & Riverine Technology Limited, Shipdine Limited, and Marine House, among others.

Although the themes of the three exhibitions differ, these events—held at the ICCB—provide a common platform for business networking and the introduction of modern technologies. Professionals from the automotive, agri-food, and maritime industries are exploring products and technologies tailored to their specific needs, while also seeking potential business collaboration opportunities.
