Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman said that the government wants to move forward through transparency in establishing justice and it is possible to reach the desired goal by following this path of transparency.
The Law Minister said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Iftar Mahfil organized by the Bangladesh Judicial Service Association in Dhanmondi, Dhanmondi, on Friday (February 27, 2026).

The Minister said that while performing duties in the Law Ministry, just as the interests of lawyers have to be considered, the issue of getting justice to people seeking justice has to be given equal importance. At the same time, it is the moral responsibility of the government to show the good and bad of the judiciary.
Referring to his first meeting with the Prime Minister, the Minister said that the Prime Minister had emphasized that the judiciary must ensure an environment where it can work independently at its own pace. He also mentioned that he was committed to the Prime Minister in this regard. He hopes that judges will also perform their duties independently and impartially. He also said, “If we do not show respect and love to the institution in which we work, it will eventually go on the path of destruction.”
Liaquat Ali Mollah, Secretary of the Law and Justice Department, Mohammad Habibur Rahman Siddiqui, Registrar General of the Supreme Court, and Sheikh Ashfaqur Rahman, Senior Secretary of the Supreme Court Secretariat, spoke at the mahfil presided over by the President of the Association, Mohammad Ali Hossain.
After the Iftar ceremony, Law Minister Md. Asaduzzaman held a meeting with the executive committee of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Association.
