Government cancels registration of 13 travel agencies due to abnormal increase in air ticket prices

The government has cancelled the registration of 13 travel agencies in the country on charges of creating an artificial crisis through syndicates and increasing the abnormal price of air tickets.

This information was given in a notification sent by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism on Tuesday (September 9). The ministry has requested the public to refrain from any kind of business activities, including buying and selling air tickets, from the agencies whose registrations have been cancelled.

The cancelled travel agencies are: Kazi Air International (Pvt.) Limited, Citycom International Travel Agency (Pvt.) Limited, RBC International, Megha International Air Service, Mother Love Air Service, JS Travel and Tours, Hashem Air International, Four Trip Limited, King Air Aviation, Biplob International Travel Agent, Sadia Travels, At-Tayara Travels International and NMSS International.

The registration of the agencies has been cancelled in a separate order signed by AKM Moniruzzaman, Joint Secretary and Registration Authority of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
