Global Halal Summit 2025 and MIHAS 2025 officially kick off on Friday (19 September 2025), which is being held in conjunction with the 21st Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2025) in Malaysia. The prestigious opening ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yab Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim. Also present were Cabinet members and distinguished guests.

The welcoming address was delivered by the Minister of Religious Affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office, YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Naeem bin Haji Moktar. The opening speech was followed by the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz. The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Prime Minister Anwar bin Ibrahim, where he outlined the direction of the summit under the theme of “Integrity, Sustainability and Resilience”.


The Global Halal Summit 2025 reaffirms Malaysia’s commitment to developing a global halal economy. It provides an opportunity for constructive dialogue and collaboration among international leaders, policymakers and industry representatives. With an emphasis on innovation and inclusive participation, the summit further strengthens Malaysia as a hub for the global halal industry.
