FICCI Delegation Courtesy Meeting with the Special Envoy for International Affairs of the Chief Adviser

FICCI President Mr. Zaved Akhtar led a delegation to meet with the Chief Advisor’s Special Envoy for International Affairs, Mr. Lutfey Siddiqi, and newly appointed BIDA Chairman, Mr. Ashik Chowdhury (joining virtually from Singapore), today, at the BIDA office in Dhaka.

The discussion, presided over by Dr. Khandoker Azizul Islam, Executive Member (Investment Environment Services) of BIDA, focused on the key challenges and opportunities surrounding foreign investment in Bangladesh.

President Zaved Akhtar presented a comprehensive overview of FICCI’s activities, highlighting the need for structural reforms to attract investment and stressing the importance of collaboration between stakeholders to unlock Bangladesh’s full potential.

Both Mr. Lutfey Siddiqi and Mr. Ashik Chowdhury emphasized their commitment to improving the investment climate and implementing necessary reforms in partnership with FICCI and other stakeholders.

The meeting was attended by members of the FICCI Board of Directors, Advisor and senior officials from BIDA, including the Director General and other key representatives.
