The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Southeast University (SEU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednessday (August 27, 2025) at the FBCCI Office in Motijheel, Dhaka, to strengthen joint collaboration in research and policy analysis. Thus paving a new era of Industry – Academia collaboration.
Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, CEO of FBCCI Innovation and Research Center, and Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of SEU, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. The agreement seeks to foster academic and professional cooperation through advanced research, while also promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic progress. It will further broaden SEU students’ learning and career prospects by engaging them directly with national economic and business policy issues.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both institutions. From Southeast University, Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Associate Professor and Director of the BBA Program; Ruba Rummana, Associate Professor, Department of Economics; Syeda Khadiza Akter, Lecturer, BBA Program Md. Abul Hashem Rony, Deputy Director, BCPR, were present.
Members from SEU also attended a Seminar on Circular Economy. Adilur Rahman Khan, Industrial Advisor to the Interim Government was the chief guest of the seminar.
