Tangail Representative:
An important meeting of the District Vigilance and Observation Team and Law and Order Cell formed for the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026 has been held. The meeting was organized by the Tangail District Administration at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room.
Tangail Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Mr. Sharifa Haque presided over the meeting. Tangail Superintendent of Police Mr. Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar was present at the meeting.

At the meeting, the Superintendent of Police stressed the need to stabilize and control the overall law and order situation in the district on the occasion of the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026. He directed all the concerned departments and organizations to perform their duties with utmost caution, professionalism and dedication through mutual coordination to ensure the safety of people’s lives and property.
He further said that the election code of conduct must be strictly followed, neutrality must be maintained during the election, security must be strengthened at polling stations and surrounding areas, and immediate and effective action must be taken in case of any untoward situation.
Members of the Bangladesh Army, representatives of RAB and BGB, Additional District Magistrates, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Mr. Md. Adibul Islam, PPM-Service, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Mr. Kazi Shahnewaz, PPM-Service, District Ansar and VDP Commandants, Upazila Nirbahi Officers of 12 upazilas of Tangail district and senior officials of various concerned departments were present in the meeting.
