During the meeting, the Deputy Speaker inquired about the teachers and students and exchanged heartfelt greetings with them. He said that the Bangladesh National Parliament Building is one of the most aesthetically pleasing modern structures in South Asia. The world-renowned American architect Louis I. Kahn designed the building. The Parliament Library houses hundreds of years old books and important documents, records from 1937, and various documents from the Pakistan period. Many researchers from home and abroad come here for research work.
Addressing the students, he said, “You will be the leaders of the future and will play an important role in running the country.” You will be the future doctors, engineers, lawyers and members of parliament. For that purpose, we have to study diligently and sincerely and prepare ourselves to take the country forward.
At this time, the Deputy Speaker said, Insha Allah, the construction of the college’s hostel will be completed quickly. He emphasized on developing the college as an ideal educational institution. He said, only infrastructure development is not enough; improving the quality of education, participating in co-curricular activities and developing versatile talents are also important. For this purpose, measures will be taken to increase the number of shifts and teachers in the college.
After the meeting, the teachers and students expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Deputy Speaker for giving them the opportunity to visit the Parliament Building. They expressed joy and enthusiasm for getting the opportunity to see the Parliament Building, Parliament Library, Prime Minister’s Office, various VIP offices and the activities of the Parliament session firsthand.
