To deepen people’s connection with books, literature and creative thinking, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan by IHG has launched a new reader-friendly space ‘FLOR – For Love of Reading’ in the capital’s Gulshan.
This new space, set up in The Daily at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, has been created with the aim of giving guests the opportunity to stop for a while, discover new ideas and engage in literary pursuits in addition to reading books.

‘FLOR’ was officially inaugurated at an event organized alongside the unveiling of The Deli’s new culinary menu. Authors, publishers, media personnel and representatives from the literary and hospitality sectors were present at the event.
Sajjad Sharif, Executive Editor and Founding Member of Prothom Alo, was present as the chief guest at the event. He jointly inaugurated ‘FLOR’ with Karthi VK, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan.
‘FLOR’ has a collection of contemporary Bangladeshi literature, fiction, leadership and various subject-based books. Guests can read their favorite books here and spend some quiet time with a cup of coffee.
Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan authorities said that the main objective of ‘FLOR’ is to create an interest in reading books and create a calm, thoughtful and inspiring environment for guests.
The hotel authorities hope that ‘FLOR’ will not only serve as a place to read books, but also as a meeting place for literature lovers, writers, readers and creative people.
