Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan said that the country will move forward on the path of prosperity if students maintain healthy education and entertainment. He urged everyone to develop healthy competition in the country.

The minister said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the award distribution ceremony of the 47th National Science and Technology Week and Science Fair and National Science Olympiad-2026 held at the Rangamati Gymnasium Hall Auditorium on Saturday (May 16, 2026).

Addressing the winners at the event, the minister said, “Today, those who have come to the district as winners from the upazila level, I hope that you will participate in the national level competition from the district and return home with the national trophy. You will make the quality of the Chittagong Hill Tracts shine.”

Meanwhile, the minister inaugurated the district’s ‘Online Bus Terminal’, ‘CNG Three-Wheeler Digital Database’ and ‘Traffic Awareness Program’ on the main road in the Lake View Garden area of ​​the city organized by the Rangamati District Police Administration.

At the inauguration ceremony, the minister said that the modern online database in the traffic awareness program related to bus terminals and vehicles will play an important role in maintaining law and order in the district. As a result of this initiative, all information related to vehicles will be preserved with the administration.

Welcoming this timely and modern program of the district police, he said that the government will take various activities to make the tourist city of Rangamati more attractive.

Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Nazma Ashrafi, District BNP General Secretary Mamunur Rashid Mamun, among others, were present as special guests at the program organized under the chairmanship of Rangamati District Superintendent of Police Muhammad Abdur Rakib and moderated by Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Jasim Uddin Chowdhury.
